Longboard® siding is an extruded aluminum siding with a powder coat finish. Used as a feature, it gives your home added character and elegance. It’s more expensive than other types of siding but, used in the right way, it can transform the appearance of your home.
Benefits of Longboard® Siding
Made of thick-gauge aluminum with a wood finish, Longboard® siding has the benefit of requiring zero maintenance. It’s designed to be very weather-resistant and won’t peel or warp. There are more than 20 wood grain options and more than 60 solid colour options if you don’t want the look of wood but still like the durability. It’s available in three widths, giving you flexibility.
Longboard® comes with a lifetime warranty on the substrate and a 15-year non-prorated warranty on the finish. It’s non-combustible and very strong. It’s also 100% recyclable and made with up to 25% recycled content, so it’s good for the environment too.
Longboard® Siding Installation
Longboard® siding installation should not be done by anyone who lacks experience with the product. Installation requires in-depth knowledge, especially if your framing is not squared.
If you’re going to invest a little more in your home by using Longboard® siding and soffit, invest some time in ensuring your installers understand the product and the installation process.
LUX Panel
Like Longboard® siding, LUX Panel is a substitute for wood on the exterior of a home. LUX Panel is made of galvanized steel. Some recycled material is used in the manufacturing process, and LUX Panel can be recycled instead of going to a landfill when you’re done with it.
Manufactured in Canada, LUX Panel can be made in any length with a short turnaround time. The product comes in 14 wood grains and is available in textures and metallic colours as well as in solid colours. It comes with a 25-year warranty on the finish.
