Quality Rubber Roofing
in Calgary: Euroshield®

Euroshield® rubber roof shingles are made from recycled tires and other rubber materials, making these shingles an eco-friendly alternative developed here in Calgary. Rubber roofing is becoming more and more popular. For many people, it just makes sense to use a product that is hail proof and keeps tires out of the landfill.

Benefits of Rubber Roof Shingles

Euroshield® rubber roofing comes in two slate profiles and four shake profiles, each of which is available in a grey, black, or brown. It’s very durable and your roof will likely last a lifetime. In addition, rubber roof shingles deaden the noise of rain or hail on the roof.

The products contain 70% recycled tire rubber and about 95% recycled content. Between 250 to 1,000 or more tires are used to produce each roof. Any waste from the production process can be collected and recycled again, so there really isn’t any waste.

Euroshield® products come with a limited lifetime warranty. Hail warranty coverage is provided for hail up to two inches in diameter.

Euroshield Products

Beaumont Shake: The newest product came onto the market in 2016 and is considered the most authentic shake profile. There are fewer panels per square to handle, less weight per square for shipping, fewer nails required to install—and all at the same cost per square foot as its Harvest Shake product.

Harvest Shake: Comes in 40-inch wide panels with a 7 5/8-inch exposure, each featuring six shake sections of various widths in a “modified open keyway” design to replicate the grain and character of individual “split-look” shake sections.

Heritage Slate: Designed to replicate New England style slate roofing with a ½-inch (nominal) thick chiselled-look butt edge. Gives the look of slate without the weight and cost.

Rundle Slate: Designed to replicate the style and beauty of extra thick chiselled-edge slate. Weighs about the same as a typical 40-year laminated asphalt shingle roof so structural concerns related to the installation of traditional heavy slate roofing are not an issue.

EuroShake® Hand-Split: Replicates the look of a hand-split shake, with its wavy and rougher surface texture. Provides the classic look of a wood roof, but not the problems associated with wood such as rotting, curling, cracking, mould, and discolouration.

Euroshake® Taper-Sawn: Replicates the look of a taper-sawn shake, with its straight-cut shallow ridges and subtle texture. Provides the classic look of a wood roof, but not the problems associated with wood such as rotting, curling, cracking, mould, and discolouration.

Euroshield® Installation

Euroshield® rubber shingles are very well engineered but they do take a bit longer to install. Rubber roofing can be a heavy product so you first have to make sure the house can handle the weight by making sure the trusses are properly spaced and reinforced.

We recommend using a titanium or rhino underlayment with rubber roof shingles. Euroshield® is a premium product that will stay on the house for a lifetime so the underlayment should be of a similar quality.
